Begins at sunset on October 1 and ends at sunset the evening of October 2
  • Ramadan: As the Muslim Holy days are based on lunar calendar, it is celebrated only after the sighting of the moon.  Participants do not eat or drink anything from sunrise to sunset.
     
  • Night of Power: Celebrated on the last seven nights of Ramadan; commemorating the beginning of the revelation of Holy Qur’an
     
  • Eidul Fitr (Eid Prayer): An Observance of a special prayer and feast on the first day of Shawwal: the day after the last day of Ramadan. Observed by a special Eid Prayer in the morning, no later than  9:30 a.m. Breakfast should be eaten before this prayer. The Eid al-Fitr Event is the feast connected to this day.
     
  • Eidul Adha: An observation of a special prayer and feast on the tenth day of the month of Dhul-Hijah. As the Muslim Holy days are based on lunar calendar, it is celebrated only after the sighting of the moon.
