According to Federal and State law the Research Foundation, and College policy any research proposal involving the use of human or animal subjects must receive the approval of the campus Human Subjects Institutional Review Board or the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee as appropriate prior to submission to a sponsor or implementation of the research project. The purpose of this policy is to protect the rights and welfare of human subjects and to insure humane treatment of animal subjects. Individuals who propose to engage in research involving the use of human subjects or animals should contact the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs for guidelines and forms.
