The Mark Hartman CYM Scholarship provides partial assistance specifically to low brass (trombone, euphonium, tuba) participants with financial need. The Julianne Kirk-Doyle Scholarship provides partial assistance specifically to a clarinetist or violist with financial need. Participants are invited to apply for any of the scholarships, as appropriate for their area of study.
Applications must be accompanied by a recommendation from a private or school instructor, a letter from a parent or guardian stating the financial need, and a copy of the most recent NYSSMA solo adjudication sheet or a comparable document of evaluation. Incomplete applications will not be considered. No full scholarships are awarded.
