B.S. in Biomedical Sciences
The B.S. in Biomedical Sciences degree combines rigorous academic preparation and the flexibility to customize courses for several post-graduate health career programs. The unique combination of natural and social science courses prepares students to understand the disease process and health outcomes, and how to effectively relate to patients in a wide variety of medical settings, depending on their aspirations. Students can select courses from six different categories based on the health profession they wish to enter, preparing them for entrance exams such as the MCAT or DAT, while providing a solid knowledge foundation for their career of choice. Students will get the chance to apply what they have learned by gaining experience in the healthcare field, either through direct patient care, becoming a health coach through a partnership with St. Lawrence Health Systems, or through extensive shadowing of healthcare professionals.

Outcomes
Students will be able to:
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of theories, concepts and methods in cell and molecular biology, chemistry, human behavior and biological phenomena.
