Typography is an essential part of an organized, consistent brand identity system.
Two type families are designated for use with SUNY Potsdam’s materials:
- Adobe Garamond Pro
- Adobe Myriad Pro
Utilizing these typefaces will reinforce the Potsdam logos, thereby supporting strong brand recognition.
These typefaces should be used together or interchangeably to reinforce the Potsdam brand. If Adobe Garamond Pro is not available, it may be substituted with Times New Roman.
If Myriad Pro is not available, it may be substituted with Helvetica.
For recruitment and special event materials (invitations), other typefaces may be used in addition to Adobe Garamond Pro and Adobe Myriad Pro to allow for creative flexibility. Display Fonts (headlines, titles and subtitles)
The following fonts may be used for display type (headlines, titles and subtitles), small amounts of text and captions.
- Adobe Myriad Pro Bold
- Adobe Myriad Pro SemiBold
- Helvetica Bold
Text Fonts
The following fonts may be used for text (body copy - ideally legible for setting large amounts of text).
- Adobe Garamond Pro
- Times New Roman
