This highly interactive session will teach participants effective networking strategies in a reception environment and beyond. A special feature will be the opportunity to practice networking skills with invited SUNY Potsdam faculty, staff and alumni during which you can make real connections to aid in your professional development.
Learning Outcomes:
- Students will learn effective networking strategies.
- Students will be exposed to the concept of developing a personal self-marketing pitch.
- Students will learn strategies to deal with difficult situations in a networking environment.
- Students will practice networking strategies.
This workshop counts for the Women, Gender, and Leadership Specialty Badge.
Students that attend all 5 Women, Gender, and Leadership workshops will have the opportunity to be mentored during the Spring semester by a Potsdam alum who works in their career field of interest!
All SUNY Potsdam students, faculty, and staff are welcomed and encouraged to participate! Event Passes are required for check-in.
