Anah Bogdan '24 is a recipient of various scholarships – the Vasily Cateforis Scholarship, Clarence F. Stevens Award, Dr. Jutta Siefert Dudley Scholarship, Charlie Smith Math Scholarship and Jessie J. McNall Scholarship. Additionally, Anah recently received the SUNY Potsdam Faculty Award, an honor presented to select students. As a multiple-scholarship recipient, Anah feels supported and motivated.
Anah studies mathematics and geology, both in and out of the classroom. Whether 10 miles south of campus in Colton, N.Y. or nearly 2,000 miles south in Texas, Anah is expanding her education with applied learning. Undergraduate research in the SUNY Potsdam Department of Geology is generously supported by the Neal R. O’Brien & William T. Kirchgasser Undergraduate Research Endowment.
In addition to educational opportunities, Anah and her fellow SUNY Potsdam students are exposed to leadership development opportunities on campus. The Dr. Ruth & Millard Harmon Student Leadership Conference welcomed 124 student leaders this past fall, who represented 45 different student organizations. Students in attendance heard from an alumni keynote speaker, participated in interactive student leadership workshops and attended various leadership lectures.
Students like Anah are on the road to success, thanks to generous scholarships, advanced educational opportunities and dedicated student care and services.
