Emerging Leaders will host a Themed Gift Basket Auction for students during Potsdam Appreciation Week (PAW) on Thursday, Oct. 28. To raise funds for this year’s Student Gift, the group is seeking donated items from faculty and staff for themed baskets that students can silently bid on. Potsdam Appreciation Week (PAW) will be hosted by Emerging Leaders from October 25 - 29. The goal of PAW is to spread a love for SUNY Potsdam across campus and fundraise for the annual Student Gift. This year, the Student Gift will support the Campus Food Pantry.
As part of Faculty/Staff Day on Thursday, Oct. 28, Emerging Leaders will host a Themed Gift Basket Auction for students. The goal is for faculty/staff and/or departments to donate items for themed gift baskets that will be auctioned to students. All auction proceeds will benefit the Campus Food Pantry.

Below are some potential gift basket themes:
Potential Themed Gift Baskets
- Stress Relief Basket: coloring book with colored pencils, stress ball, etc.
- Halloween-themed Basket: candy and/or other treats or a create your own costume kit
- Chocolate Lover-themed Basket: a variety of chocolates
- Spa Basket: nail polish, face masks, lotion, etc.
- Game theme basket: small board games, cards
- School Supply Basket: pens, pencils, stickie notes, highlighters, etc
- Knitting/Crochet Basket: starter kit to learn these skills
- Pasta Dinner Basket: Pre-packaged pasta, sauce, etc.
- Potsdam Themed Basket: Potsdam-related items
Note: These are just suggestions, please feel free to be creative based on your own interests and what you think students might enjoy! Unfortunately, we cannot accept home-made foods this year – all food items should be commercially pre-packaged.
