The Admissions Office is accepting on-line applications for an Admissions Counselor. Responsibilities include all aspects of recruitment of prospective students in a territory management setting. There will be a minimum of 10-15 weeks of travel within the five boroughs: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, and Staten Island. Daily review of applications, tele counseling, interviewing prospective students and families, and attendance at on and off campus events related to recruitment. Evening and weekend hours will be required.
Required qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree, at least one year of professional admissions or related experience, valid driver’s license, and excellent written and oral communication skills. Candidates must possess a strong work ethic and be detail-oriented. We are seeking candidates who possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with an increasingly diverse array of students and colleagues and who have demonstrated a commitment to creating, fostering and sustaining an inclusive environment in and out of the classroom. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree. More than one year of professional experience working in higher education.
