The Athletics Department is seeking a full-time, Assistant Athletic Trainer whose duties will include working alongside the athletic training staff to evaluate, treat and rehabilitate athletic injuries for all SUNY Potsdam intercollegiate athletes.
Daily practice and event coverage, including travel to away competitions with assigned teams is expected. Candidate should be prepared to work closely with coaching staff of assigned teams. Other responsibilities may include supervising graduate assistant athletic trainers, assisting with daily operations of the athletic training room, accurate record keeping, ensuring completion of pre-participation requirements, and proper referral to appropriate medical professionals, as well as duties assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer.
Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree from a CAATE accredited athletic training education program, NATABOC certified, and eligibility for NYS Licensure.
