Assistant Director of Campus Life Vacancy

The College is accepting on-line applications for an Associate Director of Campus Life. The mission of Campus Life is to provide activities, programs, and facilities to help cultivate a positive outside of classroom environment that promotes student involvement, learning, and personal development. The office coordinates the college’s student event calendar, student activities, student leadership programs, Greek Life, and student life facilities. An energetic, creative, and hard-working professional is sought to join the team in the Associate Director position. The Associate Director will provide support in coordinating all office initiatives and programs.

Specific responsibilities will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and office needs but are anticipated to be: coordinating Greek Life initiatives; assisting in the design and coordination of student leadership programs; assisting in the coordination, development, and implementation of various student activities programs including large-scale, campus-wide initiatives and late night events; assisting with digital design and program marketing; assisting with the management of student engagement software and the student activities calendar; and serving as a resource and liaison to student leaders in clubs and organizations.

Required qualifications include: a Bachelor’s Degree; 2-3 years of professional experience in a college environment; significant experience with college student leadership development programs; significant experience in large-scale event planning on a college campus; excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent marketing and digital design skills coupled with a strong background in a variety of software programs; and the ability to regularly work non-traditional hours including late nights and weekends. We are seeking candidates who possess communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with an increasingly diverse array of students and colleagues and who have demonstrated a commitment to creating, fostering, and sustaining an inclusive environment.

Preferred Qualifications include: a Master’s Degree in Higher Education or related field; 3-5 years of professional experience in a college environment; experience coordinating Greek Life initiatives; familiarity with student engagement software; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suites programs and/or graphic design/marketing experience. We are, especially, seeking candidates who have engaged in professional development activities to enhance their knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion and who have worked collaboratively across various departments in fostering success of underrepresented groups and a supportive and inclusive environment for all.
