The Psychology Department is accepting on-line applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin fall 2019.
We are seeking candidates whose area of expertise is either Clinical or Counseling Psychology, although the specific area of specialization is open. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability and willingness to teach such courses as Intellectual Disabilities, Abnormal Psychology. Tests & Measurements, Counseling Theories & Methods, Forensic Psychology, Cultural Psychology, School Psychology and Health Psychology, along with courses in the candidate’s own area of specialization. In addition, the ability and willingness to teach such core courses as Introduction to Psychology, Child Development and Research Methods is especially desirable. The successful candidate will support the department’s focus on involving students in research and the campus’ mission of providing an education that emphasizes applied learning experiences for our students. A willingness and ability to engage in some form of clinical work or counseling for residents in the community is also desirable. The incumbent may be encouraged to teach evening, weekend, off-site, and/or online courses.
