The Business Affairs department is accepting on-line applications for a financial professional to join their dedicated team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: administering Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) campus reporting software, providing training, user access and rights; analyzing and performing testing of upgrades, fixes and navigation; assisting various departments in interpreting BI financial reports and analyzing data; coordinating campus fee process per SUNY procedures; assisting in preparation and monitoring of the campus annual budget with assistance of account holders and Budget Control Officer; managing and updating Business Affairs/Budget website; performing special assignments, research projects and preparing focused analysis as directed; preparing detailed comparative and historical financial analysis; creating and analyzing standard and ad-hoc queries and reports; identifying and suggesting budget and finance information systems/Business Office operational improvements; assisting in the drafting review and editing of written reports and oral presentations to internal and external bodies; assisting the Campus Internal Control Officer with administrative support and testing; and attending internal and/or external meetings in the absence of the Budget Control Officer.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field and three years of administrative support experience in an academic or professional office setting are required. Candidate must be a self-starter and strongly detail and task oriented. Advanced competency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point, and excellent oral, written, research and interpersonal skills are also required. Use of Ellucian Banner enterprise resource and BI financial reporting systems is an asset.
