Business Affairs Financial Analyst Vacancy

The College is seeking two financial professionals to join the Business Affairs team as a Financial Analyst.

Selected candidate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: submitting quarterly revenue accounting on the Banner Finance System; creating and managing account codes on the Banner Finance system; assisting the Director of Business Affairs with cash management reporting SUNY system; assisting with Campus Financial Reporting package at fiscal year-end; performing monthly reconciliations of various accounts; managing revenue projections and updated projections for campus tuition and other significant budgetary elements; managing and updating the Campus Business Affairs and Budget web pages and updates to campus community; performing special assignments, researching projects, and preparing focused analysis as directed; preparing detailed comparative and historical financial analysis; creating and analyzing standard ad-hoc queries and reports; identifying budget/finance information systems/Business Office operational improvement opportunities that will better enable the Business Affairs department to achieve their goals and objectives; assisting in the drafting review and editing of written reports and oral presentations to internal and external bodies; assisting the Campus Internal Control Office with administrative support and testing; attending internal and/or external meetings in the absence of the Director of Business Affairs and performing other duties as assigned. 

Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field and three years of administrative support experience in an academic or professional office setting. Potential candidate must be a self-starter and strongly detail and task oriented, advanced competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and have excellent oral, written, research and interpersonal skills. Use of Ellucian Banner enterprise resource and Oracle Business Intelligence financial reporting systems are each a plus.  We are, especially, seeking candidates who have engaged in professional development activities to enhance knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion and have worked collaboratively across various departments in fostering success of underrepresented groups and a supportive and inclusive environment for all.
