The Environmental Health & Safety Office is accepting on-line applications for a full-time Campus Safety Specialist to support the Environmental Health & Safety efforts.
Under direction of the Director, Environmental Health & Safety, duties will include, but are not limited to: recycling management of E-waste and non-hazardous materials; hazardous waste disposal and tracking; Spill Protection & Countermeasure Control management; asbestos abatement management; perform visual inspections of life safety devices on campus and document same through data entry; verify and document weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual inspections of all life safety-related systems; maintenance of environmental permits, license, agreements, pesticide license, and all associated reporting requirements; manage and expand asset barcode system; responsible for the recognition and elimination of biological, chemical, physical, radiological, and environmental hazards; and prepare necessary reports.
Required qualifications include an Associate degree in related field and a minimum one years’ experience working in the environmental, safety, industrial hygiene, or related field.
