Crane School of Music Hosts Faculty Chamber Recital on Sept. 20

SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music invites the public to enjoy a chamber recital by members of Crane’s string, piano and brass faculty, on Wednesday, Sept. 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the Sara M. Snell Music Theater. The performance will include works by Mozart, Villa-Lobos and Brahms.

Violinist Liesl Schoenberger Doty will partner with other faculty members to present an evening of mixed chamber music. The program will open with Mozart's “Duo in G-Major,” with violist Dr. Shelly Tramposh, followed by a string trio written by the Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos, joined by the newly appointed cello faculty member, Dr. Marie-Elaine Gagnon. The second half of the program will feature Brahms’ “Horn Trio,” performed by Doty and Dr. Young-Ah Tak on piano, and Dr. Lauren Becker on horn.

This concert is free, and the public is invited to attend.
