Seeking a financial professional to join the Business Affairs team as a Financial Analyst.
Selected candidate’s responsibilities: Administer Oracle Business Intelligence campus reporting software, provide training, user access and rights, analyze and perform testing of upgrades, fixes and navigation structure performed by SUNY for functionality and efficiency, assist various departments in interpreting BI financial reports and analyzing data, coordinate campus fee process per SUNY procedures and timelines, assist in the preparation of the campus annual budget with assistance of account holders and the Director of Business Affairs, monitor the campus annual budget with the assistance of account holders and the Director of Business Affairs, manage and update the Campus Business Affairs and Budget website, perform special assignments, research projects and prepare focused analysis as directed, prepare detailed comparative and historical financial analysis, create and analyzes standard and ad-hoc queries and reports, identify budget/finance information systems/Business Office operational improvement opportunities that will better enable the Business Affairs department to achieve their goals and objectives, assist in the drafting review and editing of written reports and oral presentations to internal and external bodies, assist the Campus Internal Controls Officer with administrative support and testing, and attend internal and/or external meetings in the absence of the Director of Business Affairs.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field and three years of administrative support experience in an academic or professional office setting. Must be a self-starter and strongly detail and task oriented, advanced competency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point. Excellent oral, written, research and interpersonal skills. Use of Ellucian Banner enterprise resource and Oracle Business Intelligence financial reporting systems is an asset.
