Monkeypox Vaccination Clinic

September 26, 2022

We have the opportunity to host St. Lawrence County Public Health Department on our campus to provide faculty, staff, students and the larger community with JYNNEOS vaccines in the fight against Monkeypox.

Monkeypox is an infectious disease that anyone can get through close, personal, often skin-to-skin contact. The rash may look like pimples, blisters, or sores, often with an earlier flu-like illness.

Many—though not all—of the reported cases in the U.S. have been among gay and bisexual men. Given this and a shortage of vaccine, CDC is focusing on identifying and using specific channels that will directly reach gay and bisexual men across racial, ethnic, socioeconomic and geographic backgrounds for vaccination. When more vaccineis available, everyone will be eligible for the vaccine.

If you consider yourself at increased risk for Monkeypox, please use this link to register for the clinic on Wednesday, September 28 from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Knowles Hall Multi-Purpose Room, located on the corner of Barrington Drive & Ogdensburg Drive on the SUNY Potsdam campus.
