Potsdam College Foundation Announces New Board Member, Kate Gigliotti ’09 of Adams, MA
The Potsdam College Foundation Board of Trustees has named Kate Gigliotti ’09 of Adams, Mass., as its newest trustee.
At their last meeting, trustees welcomed the accomplished Crane School of Music alumna as their newest colleague, as they work collectively to foster philanthropic support for SUNY Potsdam.
Kate Gigliotti ’09 is a tenacious administrative leader with experience in helping non-profit organizations achieve their strategic goals, build revenue and nurture relationships with internal and external constituents. She graduated from SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music with dual Bachelor of Music degrees in vocal performance and music business, and later went on to complete a master’s degree in non-profit management at the University of Houston.
Gigliotti’s career in arts administration began at Sarasota Opera, where she was the youth opera program directory, and continued at the Albany Symphony Orchestra, where she served as the grants administrator and manager of education and community engagement. Gigliotti made the move to higher education in 2013, first becoming assistant director of alumni affairs at Albany Law School and later joining the University of Houston Law Center as the director of alumni programs and events. In 2018, she joined the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, where she served in a series of roles in donor relations and alumni engagement, culminating in her appointment as chief advancement officer. Most recently, Gigliotti accepted a position as senior associate director of strategic priorities and initiatives at Harvard University. She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).
Highly dedicated to her alma mater, Gigliotti previously served on the SUNY Potsdam Alumni Association Board of Trustees from 2014 to 2017, and was the recipient of the College’s Rising Star Award in 2019.
