Residence Life is accepting on-line applications for a for full-time, 10-month, live-in Residence Director to begin August 1, 2022.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to direct responsibility for a residential area housing approximately 375 residents; supervise a student staff of 9-11 RAs; student conduct; conflict resolution; crisis intervention and emergency response; administrative and operational functions including oversight of facilities needs; programming and community building; committee work; participation in departmental planning and decision making. Potential opportunities exist for significant involvement in the Department’s staff selection, training and development, and programming depending on interest and experience. Evening and weekend work is expected related to department processes and emergency/crisis response.
Bachelor’s degree and some experience in a student leadership role required. A Master’s degree is preferred, and previous residence life experience is strongly preferred. Other essential qualities include excellent administrative, communication, leadership, decision-making skills, and the ability to work autonomously in a team atmosphere.
