The School of Education and Professional Studies is accepting on-line applications for a full-time Instructor in support of our education activities for the New York City Metropolitan area. The successful candidate is a full-time university faculty member, primarily housed within partnering PK-12 schools and will serve a critical role within the NYC Coalition for Teacher Preparation model.
Primary responsibilities include acting as liaison between the university, school districts, and school sites; instruct college courses and mentor teacher development; serve as instructional coach for teacher candidates; and, for recruitment purposes, act as liaison between SUNY Potsdam’s Admissions Office and partner schools.
Minimum qualifications include a master’s degree in a PK12 education field and three years of successful teaching in a PK12 school setting. Preferred qualifications include experience teaching at the college level and a demonstrated commitment to equity.
