Star Students Featured in 2017-18 Crane School of Music Honors Recital

SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music will highlight the talent and artistry of its rising performers in the annual Student Honors Recital, on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m., in the Sara M. Snell Music Theater.

This special concert will feature students selected by professors to represent their respective performance areas, including brass, guitar/harp, percussion, piano, strings, woodwinds and voice.

The concert is free, and the public is invited to attend.

The students selected to perform in the 2017-18 Crane School of Music Student Honors Recital include:

  • Isabella Kolasinski, euphonium
  • Matthew Lampel, guitar
  • Luca Esposito, marimba
  • AJ Long, piano
  • Eric Villalta, tenor saxophone
  • Shelby Gillespie, soprano
  • Shavon Lloyd, baritone

The performance will include works by Ludwig von Beethoven, Margaret Bond, Jacob Druckman, Hall Johnson, Franz Liszt,  William Matthias, Domenico Scarlatti, Maria Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Jacob Ter Veldhuis and Giuseppe Verdi.
