The Student Success Center (SSC) Student Award Committee requests nominations for the SSC Student Award funded through donations from the SSC staff and other interested faculty and staff at the College.
The intent of the award is to provide financial support to encourage the persistence and continuing success of a student who has made use of the services within the SSC. It will be awarded annually to an undergraduate in economic need.
Nominee Criteria
Nominees must have evidence of perseverance amidst personal and/or academic hardship (please provide as much information as possible), have used the services of at least 2 (or more) offices in the SSC (we will verify this information for you) and have a minimum GPA of 2.75.
Preference will be given to students who have second semester freshmen standing (12-23 audit hours) at the time of nomination.
Deadline for Nominations
Nominations for the SSC Student Award are due by Friday, April 23, from SSC Offices and the campus community. Students can be nominated more than once, but only one scholarship is awarded per student.
Recipient Benefits
- The SSC Student Award winner will receive a certificate and a monitory award (amount TBD), which will be presented in May.
- The announcement of the winner will be included in the provost newsletter
