SUNY Potsdam Alert: Late afternoon in-person classes canceled today/switch to remote instruction tomorrow

Due to inclement weather, all in-person classes that start after 4 p.m. have been canceled at SUNY Potsdam for today, Wednesday, January 24. Classes that begin before 4 p.m. will continue as scheduled. Virtual classes may proceed, at the instructor’s discretion.
With adverse conditions expected to continue, SUNY Potsdam will also switch to remote instruction tomorrow, Thursday, January 25.
Instruction information for January 25:
- Students: Please attend your classes if they are scheduled online and/or complete assignments as instructed. Check your email and Brightspace for information from your instructors.
- Faculty: Please establish clear and open lines of communication with your students, by notifying them as soon as you are able on whether you are switching to remote instruction or canceling class. Faculty guidelines are available here.
- Staff: Essential Services personnel should adhere to their regular reporting schedule on campus. Supervisors must communicate expectations and roles to all other non-instructional employees to ensure the adequate coverage of our offices and services.
Students at our Watertown extension site are advised to check with their instructors regarding class plans for today and tomorrow.
