SUNY Potsdam Alert
Due to inclement weather and adverse conditions expected to continue, SUNY Potsdam will switch to remote instruction tomorrow, Monday, February 17.
Instruction information:
- Students: Please attend your classes if they are scheduled online and/or complete assignments as instructed. Check your email and Brightspace for information from your instructors.
- Faculty: Please establish clear and open lines of communication with your students, by notifying them as soon as you are able on whether you are switching to remote instruction or canceling class. Faculty guidelines are available here.
- Staff: As a reminder, tomorrow is the observance of Washington's Birthday, and is a public holiday in New York State. The College has determined that only those services deemed essential will be maintained on state designated holidays. Essential Services personnel should adhere to their regular reporting schedule on campus for the holiday. Supervisors must communicate expectations and roles to all other non-instructional employees to ensure the adequate coverage of our offices and services as appropriate.
Fully online classes may proceed as scheduled tomorrow, at the instructor’s discretion. Students at our Watertown extension site are advised to check with their instructors regarding class plans for tomorrow. Classes at Riverview Correctional Facility will be canceled.
