SUNY Potsdam Honors 29 College Retirees

The State University of New York at Potsdam Thanks 29 Employees for Years of Service to the College, Upon Their Retirements

SUNY Potsdam honored 29 longtime employees upon their retirements during the College’s annual employee recognition and awards ceremony last week. Together, the faculty and staff members had collectively dedicated an incredible 790 years of service to the institution.

“We are proud to recognize faculty and staff who have collectively devoted centuries of service to SUNY Potsdam. The campus is truly fortunate to have such dedicated, hard-working employees who every day strive to make a difference in the lives of our students,” said President Dr. Kristin G. Esterberg.

This year’s SUNY Potsdam retirees included:

  • Michael Barney, 26 years of service
  • Elizabeth Bellardini, 32 years of service
  • Kimberley Bouchard, 24 years of service
  • Lawrence Brehm, 21 years of service
  • Debra Brenno, 28 years of service
  • Jean Centrella, 35 years of service
  • Kathleen Chapman, 39 years of service
  • Jody Daggett, 20 years of service
  • Tammy Gore, 20 years of service
  • M. J. Heisey, 22 years of service
  • Nancy Hess, 19 years of service
  • Sharon House, 20 years of service
  • M. Azad Islam, 33 years of service
  • Alan Januszewski, 30 years of service
  • Larry Jenks, 32 years of service
  • E. Victoria Levitt, 31 years of service
  • Thomas Mallette, 38 years of service
  • Steven Marqusee, 43 years of service
  • Lisa Martin, 24 years of service
  • Steven Michaud, 22 years of service
  • Cynthia Moran, 27 years of service
  • Lorelei Murdie, 35 years of service
  • Penny Newcombe, 18 years of service

The retirees represented every area of campus, from faculty to administration. All of the 2018-19 retirees were honored during a special ceremony during the annual employee recognition and awards ceremony, which recognizes award recipients and honors employees reaching major employment milestones.
