SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor Emeritus James Petercsak (Hon. '03) was recently recognized for his many achievements in performance and pedagogy throughout his career. Now retired, the long-time Crane School of Music faculty member was honored with two awards by partners in the music industry.

Crane Opera Ensemble Presents Original Jukebox Musical, ‘Les Mis(ish),’ from March 22 to 24
The award-winning Crane Opera Ensemble from SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music will present “Les Mis(ish),” an original jukebox musical featuring showtunes from more than 100 years’ worth of musical theatre. The production will debut with evening performances at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, March 22 and 23, with a final matinee on Sunday, March 24 at 3 p.m. All performances will take place in the Proscenium Theater, located in the Performing Arts Center.
