The survey was conducted in Fall 2019 at colleges nationwide by the Hope Center for College, Community, and Justice (Hope Center). SUNY system administration asked campuses to participate because of the rapidly growing awareness of the serious challenges that students face meeting their basic needs. Around 19 state-operated SUNY Campuses and about 15 SUNY community colleges participated in the Fall 2019 survey. The #RealCollege Survey reports should inform colleges, and the communities where those colleges are located, about the prevalence of student food and housing insecurity and other issues #RealCollege students face. Below is the report for SUNY Potsdam as well as the national report.
