Craig Kuhnert
Conservation Intern
Massawepie Scout Camp
65 Massawepie Road, Childwold, NY 12922

Personal Experience: My experience at Massawepie Scout Camp proved to be quite insightful teaching me the proper use of tools such as using chainsaws to clear out trails. The proper method behind creating a firepit and how to reinvigorate human activity in abandoned campsites. I enjoyed a lot of the manual labor aspect in the internship such as fixing pipe bursts transporting huge amounts of gravel for road work. One of my proudest accomplishments was the creation of 6 land bridges allowing easier travel on the main hiking route.

Organization: Massawepie Scout Camp
