Every Wednesday, students have the opportunity to take a yoga class in the WISER (Wagner Institute for Sustainability and Ecological Research) Greenhouse. With heated floors and an array of plants and vegetables on all sides, the greenhouse is the perfect backdrop for yoga.
Professor Kathleen O’Rourke recently took her First-Year Success Seminar students to try Yoga in the Greenhouse. For many, it was their first time. With the aeroponic Tower Gardens pushed to the side, the yoga mats were rolled out to fit more than 20 students in the greenhouse. Isabelle Bailey ’23, a first-year student in the SIIM program, led the class.
Are you interested in trying yoga surrounded by beautiful plants and vegetables in the WISER Greenhouse? Stop by from 4:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. on Wednesdays. An instructor will lead the way.
The WISER Center is utilized by a host of our current classes including sustainable agriculture, general biology, genetics, ecology, plant physiology, and botany. For more information, visit the WISER Center webpage.
