All Crane students are encouraged to perform at a high level, and ensemble participation is a required part of all music degree programs. The Crane School can point to a long tradition of preparing excellence in ensemble performance, and many alumni enjoy successful careers in major operas and orchestras and other ensembles, both in the United States and abroad. Performance ensembles of The Crane School of Music are open to all students of the College through auditions or, in some cases, through open enrollment. Non-music majors should go to this webpage for more information about ensembles and auditions for non-music majors. For music majors, detailed information about ensembles can be found in the Crane Student Handbook.
