SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music invites the public to enjoy a faculty recital featuring saxophonist Casey Grev and percussionist Tim Sullivan on Thursday, April 12 at 7:30 p.m., in the Sara M. Snell Music Theater.
The duo will present an assortment of works written or adapted for saxophone and percussion, including pieces by Chen Yi, Alvin Lucier and Charlie Wilmoth. They will also perform a new arrangement of “Hyxos” by Giacinto Scelsi, originally for alto flute, adapted here for the alto saxophone.
Grev and Sullivan will be joined by M. Maxwell Howard and Jerod Sommerfeldt on Alvin Lucier’s “Carbon Copies.”
This concert is free, and the public is invited to attend.
