The SUNY Potsdam Alumni Association recently honored Crane School of Music Dean Emeritus Dr. Michael Sitton with Honorary Lifetime Membership, during the College’s Virtual Reunion Week. Honorary Lifetime Membership is presented to non-alums who have made exceptional contributions to the SUNY Potsdam Alumni Association and/or the College. Sitton was recognized upon his retirement, for his generosity and numerous contributions to SUNY Potsdam and The Crane School of Music. About the recipient:

The SUNY Potsdam Alumni Association recently honored Michael Paestella ’95 of Oswego, N.Y., with its 2020 Distinguished Service Award, during the College’s Virtual Reunion Week. The Distinguished Service Award is presented to alumni who have made exceptional contributions to the Alumni Association and/or the College. Paestella was honored for his passion, support and longstanding commitment to SUNY Potsdam and the Alumni Association Board of Trustees. About the recipient:

The SUNY Potsdam Alumni Association recently honored Joshua Redman ’11 of Babylon, N.Y., with the 2020 Rising Star Award, during the College’s Virtual Reunion Week. The Rising Star Award is presented to alumni who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievement in the first decade following graduation. Redman was recognized for his outstanding accomplishments so early in his career, and in appreciation for his dedicated service and support to the College’s alumni programs. About the recipient:

The SUNY Potsdam Alumni Association recently honored former student and longtime supporter Teresa Fishbeck with Honorary Lifetime Membership during the College’s Reunion Weekend.

The SUNY Potsdam Alumni Association recently honored longtime supporter Richard F. Stradling Jr. of Cincinnati with Honorary Lifetime Membership during the College’s Reunion Weekend. Honorary Lifetime Membership is presented to non-alums who have made exceptional contributions to the SUNY Potsdam Alumni Association and/or the College. Stradling was recognized for his visionary generosity to SUNY Potsdam.

The SUNY Potsdam Alumni Association recently honored Dr. Jesse M. Millek ’12 of Ann Arbor, Mich., with the 2019 Rising Star Award. The Rising Star Award is presented to alumni who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievement in the first decade following graduation.  Millek was recognized for his stellar professional achievements already early on in his career.  

Master carpenters have been hard at work this week raising posts and trusses using the traditional timber framing method at a new donor-funded facility at SUNY Potsdam.
