September 19, 2020 Dear Students and Colleagues: It is not my usual practice to send an email on a Saturday, but we have news worth noting and an important reminder. As we wrap up our first round of student surveillance testing for COVID-19, I want to thank all of you who have worked so hard to protect yourselves and protect others. We tested approximately 1,800 residential and local students this week, using the new pooled saliva testing offered by Upstate Medical University.

September 19, 2020 Email being sent on behalf of Tracy Harcourt, Director of Student Health Services Dear Students: As of today, Student Health Services has received all of the outstanding COVID-19 surveillance test results from the testing conducted this past week. All of these tests were negative.

The State University of New York at Potsdam today released a financial stability plan that will ensure the future of one of the nation’s oldest institutions of higher education, and begin to address the College’s $9 million structural deficit.&nbsp

September 19, 2023  Dear colleagues,  When I accepted the presidency at SUNY Potsdam, I did so with open eyes and an open heart. From the start, it has been clear that the College faces challenges. Yet ever since I stepped foot on campus for the first time, I knew that this institution could overcome just about anything, thanks to our long history and strong sense of community. That’s why today, we meet one of those challenges head-on.

Many of you have now no doubt become aware that the Master of Music degree in Music Performance is on the list of 14 SUNY Potsdam programs identified for possible discontinuation.
