What can I expect in my room? In every bedroom, there will be one bed (Twin Extra Long), one desk, one desk chair, one dresser, and one closet per resident. Roommates will share the ceiling light (or floor lamp), the window, and the trash basket. For those that live in a standard double room or triple, you will have shared bathroom facilities on your floor. If you live in a Lehman Suite with a bathroom, a Lehman Apartment or a Townhouse, you will have a private bathroom(s) for the occupants of that space. If you live in a Lehman Suite, Lehman Apartment or Townhouse, you will also have couches and chairs in your common room. If you are in a Lehman Apartment or Townhouse, you will also have a dining room table and chairs for the occupants of the space.
All of our rooms have access to high speed wireless internet provided by Apogee.

- Who lives in Bowman South? Bowman South is occupied with all first year students, except for the Resident Assistants.
- Laundry rooms are provided on floors 3 through 7. Each floor has two laundry rooms, each containing 2 washers and 2 dryers.
- There is a large kitchen located on the first floor with two stoves, two fridges and more than enough counter space to whip up anything you can imagine.
- Bowman South is home to the Bowman Commons. Located on the first floor of Bowman South, the Bowman Commons is the social hub of Bowman. This space contains a Media room, complete with overhead projector, surround sound system, TV and seating for up to 40 people. There is also a business center with wired internet connections and white boards for all of your individual or group projects. On the south side of the Commons is the Multipurpose Room (MPR). This space is used for in building programming and other on campus programs and events. In addition, there is a wide open gaming area and couches and chairs for lounging and relaxing.

Draime Hall is the building that houses a mix of students and also the Main Office for the Residence Life Department. Draime Hall consists of two separate but connected portions, Main Draime and the Draime Extension. In a typical year, Draime Hall is home to around 200 students and 6 Resident Assistants. Draime Hall is part of what we call the East Quad, which also includes Bowman East and is run as one area, with one staff.

Lehman Hall is a large complex located right next to Pierrepont Ave on the edge of campus. It is made up of a combination of suites, apartments and double rooms across 6 floors and is home to around 350 students in a typical year. It is comprised of Lehman North, a two story wing which only houses suites and apartments, and Lehman South, the 6 story high-rise that has double rooms and suites. Lehman Hall is the only residence hall with a dining hall attached, the Lehman Dining Center, which features our all-you-care-to-eat buffet dining experience.

Lehman Hall Quick Facts
- Who lives in Lehman Hall? Lehman Hall is occupied with students ranging from first year students all the way up to graduate students.
- Lehman Hall Students who live in Suites and Apartments are required to clean their own bathrooms.
- Laundry rooms are provided in the basement of Lehman. There are 4 total laundry rooms, with 2 large ones in Lehman South and 2 slightly smaller ones in Lehman North.
- There are two kitchens located in the basement of Lehman, 1 in South and 1 in North. These are available for all students of the building who wish to do a little cooking.
- Lehman South has a recreation room available for all residents. This room has a pool table, a large screen TV and plenty of couches to enjoy a game or TV show.
- Lehman North is home to the Residence Life Gaming Lounge. This space opened in April of 2018 with 10 gaming monitors, multiple big screen TVs and an Xbox One loaded with games. This space is open to any SUNY Potsdam student and will hold many gaming events each school year. Our eSports teams will practice and compete out of this space in the ECAC eSports league this fall semester.

The Townhouse complex features ten two-story buildings that are located between the Maxcy Hall athletic complex and Knowles Hall. Each unit is fully furnished on-campus apartments except for televisions, microwaves, and cooking equipment. The Townhouses are independent living with 2 Resident Assistants (RAs). The Townhouses have a total capacity of 223 students, ranging from the occasional new student all the way up to graduate students.
Townhouse Quick Facts
- For residents of the townhouses, we offer an independent living environment; it provides all of the conveniences of on-campus living combined with the privacy and independence that many students with substantial college and life experience seek. Townhouses can be single sex or co-ed as all of the rooms are single bedrooms.
- Each townhouse is an independent unit that has a kitchen, bathrooms, dining area, living area, patio, and four or five single bedrooms. The kitchen and living areas are on the first floor along with one bathroom (4-person units have a 1/2 bath and 5-person units have a full bathroom). In 5-person unit there is also a bedroom downstairs. In all units, there are four single bedrooms with 2 full bathrooms upstairs. In addition, each unit comes with central air conditioning and individually controlled heat.
- The kitchens come with a dish-washer, stove, and full-size refrigerator.
- Laundry facilities are available in the central buildings of Townhouse E and F. ID cards are required to access the building.
- What to bring if you're living in a townhouse:
- Dishes (plates, glasses, mugs, pots, pans, bake ware, utensils, mixing bowls, silverware)
- Dish towels & oven mitts
- Cleaning supplies (dishwasher soap, floor cleaner, bathroom/tile cleaner, etc.)

Van Housen Hall is the building that houses a mix of students and also a couple of other campus offices. Van Housen Hall consists of the top two floors of the main portion of Van Housen. These rooms are all single occupancy rooms for the 2021-2022 academic year. In a typical year, Van Housen Hall is home to around 65 students and 2 Resident Assistants. Van Housen Hall is part of what we call the West Quad, which also includes Bowman West and is run as one area, with one staff. Van Housen Hall is also home to the Counseling Center, Student Health Services and University Police.
