Student Health Services (SHS) is committed to providing our students with a safe, welcoming environment providing culturally competent and inclusive healthcare. We collaborate with students to identify and meet their individual goals, identify barriers to learning and empower them to develop a personal wellness program that lays the foundation for a healthy life.
Note: There is an optional Pharmacy fee. We will provide Free Medication for illnesses in Student Health Services instead charging them at their visit or writing a prescription to send to local pharmacies. Learn More

Primary Care
- Medical care delivered by board certified Nurse Practitioners
- Reproductive health exams, counseling, and contraception prescriptions
- Evaluation and treatment for acute illness, with medications available
- Evaluation and treatment of chronic medical conditions, eg. asthma, diabetes
- Follow-up of chronic medical illnesses in collaboration with your medical provider at home
- Complete physicals for college athletes, travel abroad and employment
- Reduced cost testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections
- Low-cost emergency contraception available
- Screening, and referral of mental health issues to our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
- PrEP and PEP to decrease HIV risk
- Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy (Learn More about Transgender Care Resources)
- Nicotine replacement therapy and counseling
Nursing Services
- Allergy Injections (students provide Allergist order and serum)
- Blood pressure screening
- Flu shot clinic
- Immunizations
- Suture removal
- Wound care
Laboratory Services
- Onsite medical laboratory technician for blood draws, even if ordered by your medical provider at home
- Free testing: strep throat, mononucleosis, HIV, COVID, Influenza, pregnancy, urine analysis, and blood sugar
SGA STI Testing Program
The Student Government Association (SGA) has recognized the importance that getting tested for sexually transmitted disease has on the health of our students. It has made funds available to reduce the cost of getting tested. Now you just pay $5 for gonorrhea/chlamydia testing if you have not paid the pharmacy fee.
