The Crane Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Committee
The Crane Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Committee is charged with recommending suggestions, facilitating discussion, and developing programming to inspire a culture that affirms every student, staff, and faculty member.
Beginning in the Summer of 2021, the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Committee will organize several Diversity Design Sprints to gather feedback from various intersections in our community. With this information, the circles, identify institutional inequities/deficiencies, and recommend policy/curricular reform to our administration, faculty, and student organizations.
The Crane Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee desires to inspire action and not performative statements and gestures of empty allyship. To this end, a unique Crane School of Music Diversity Statement, and Indigeneity Statement will not be created until after surveying the cumulative needs of our community and engaging with voices left out of our history.
