The Department of Theatre and Dance develops multidisciplinary students in the areas of dance, theater, arts management, and technical theatre from Bachelor of Arts degrees to minors. It offers a solid artistic program headed by some of the finest faculty members and with programs that are cutting-edge, stimulating, rich, and diverse, representing artistic trends globally.

After transferring to SUNY Potsdam, the Department of Theatre and Dance has felt like home to Stacia Goldsmith '22. Supportive professors like Cynthia DuFault and Robin Collen have created a safe environment for her to harness her dance skills, and collaborate with other dance students, as they rehearse and perform for live audiences within the Performing Arts Center.
