Who is this position for?
MSEd Students that are available to come to campus Monday - Friday. Hours vary, but in-person presence is required. Undergraduate classes in literacy are recommended as literacy background is extremely important in this position.
What does the position entail?
- Co-Coordinator of the Afterschool Literacy Mentoring Program
This after-school literacy program strives to provide local children, grades K-8, free mentoring services in the hopes they will develop a life-long love of literacy. - Co-Instruct EDLS 207 Lab
This course is the first literacy clinical experience for childhood education students. In this position, the graduate assistant instructs college students on best- practice approaches in literacy instruction, while overseeing college students as mentors in the Literacy Mentoring Program.
Outstanding leadership and literacy educator experience working with school-aged children as well as undergraduate education majors.
Scholarship provides full tuition for both fall and spring semesters.
