Student Health Services and Kinney Drugs are partnering together to offer an on-site Flu Clinic on October 21 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Barrington Student Union Fireside Lounge for students and employees. Pre-registration is highly recommended, but walk-ins are welcome. 

The Potsdam College Foundation Board of Trustees has named Kate Gigliotti ’09 of Adams, Mass., as its newest trustee.  At their last meeting, trustees welcomed the accomplished Crane School of Music alumna as their newest colleague, as they work collectively to foster philanthropic support for SUNY Potsdam.  

Thanks to steadfast support from its donors, SUNY Potsdam raised more than $5.2 million in new gifts and pledges in the 2023-24 fiscal year. Alumni giving increased by 82 percent from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024, showing SUNY Potsdam graduates’ strong commitment to their alma mater. 

SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music will feature its talented students and world-renowned faculty artists in a series of upcoming live performances this month.  All performances are free, and the public is invited to attend.  

SUNY Potsdam is proud to welcome prospective students and families to campus for upcoming fall visit events. Now, the College is adding a new opportunity for local students to stay overnight and experience all that campus life has to offer.

SUNY Potsdam officially opened the campus’s newest space with a ribboncutting ceremony for the new Carson Commons on Friday, Oct. 18.  The completely renovated space in Carson Hall will now serve as a campus collaborative/co-working space, allowing students or campus groups to reserve one of the rooms easily online for discussions, group work, study sessions, meetings or presentations. 

SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music hosted the world premiere of a groundbreaking new opera, “Computing Venus,” by Timothy C. Takach and Caitlin Vincent. The Crane Opera Ensemble and Orchestra unveiled its full production of the Pellicciotti Prize-winning work in a series of performances and special events, Thursday, Oct. 31 to Sunday, Nov. 3.  

Dr. Young-Ah Tak, an associate professor of piano at SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music, is set to release a new album of sonatas by Franz Schubert, on the Steinway & Sons label.
