The Crane School of Music Presents the ‘Best of Candlelight’ in Annual Holidays Concerts on Dec. 8
More than 300 student and faculty musicians from SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music will join together this Sunday, Dec. 8, to celebrate the holiday season, with the 2019 Crane Candlelight Concerts. The Crane Chorus and Crane Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Jeffrey Francom and Ching-Chun Lai, will present two performances on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Both concerts will be offered in the Helen M. Hosmer Concert Hall.

SUNY Potsdam Now Accepting Applications for Walker Fellowship
The Office of the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at SUNY Potsdam is pleased to announce the continuation of the T. Urling and Mabel Walker Research Fellowship Program for 2020. The purpose of this program is to encourage faculty from the region’s 11 institutions of higher education to undertake research on critical issues confronting North Country communities, and to make recommendations for possible solutions.
SUNY Potsdam to Mark Week of Mourning, in Memory of Late Officer-in-Charge Dr. John L. Graham
Please note: The date of Dr. Graham's memorial service was listed incorrectly in the last version. Please excuse the error, and note that services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 11 (corrected below). SUNY Potsdam will mark the life and legacy of its late Officer-in-Charge Dr. John L. Graham, with a series of special events and commemorations this week. Dr. Graham passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 27.
Holiday Party for Campus Employees
Come celebrate the holidays and the end of the semester with your friends and colleagues from across campus on Wednesday, Dec. 14 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. in the Knowles MPR. There will be a few contests for prizes for ugly sweater, most festive outfit and gingerbread house team decorating! Also, light refreshments will be served.
Faculty/Staff Appreciation Days
The College Store will be having various items for sale on Tuesday, Dec. 13 & Wednesday, Dec. 14 between 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. There will be clothing, memorabilia, gifts, supplies and final clearance items. Along with $7 mystery grab bag sale. All while supplies last! Please bring faculty/staff ID.
Holiday Art Auction
The Holiday Art Auction is sponsored by Kappa Pi Art Honor Society and Student Art Association and will be held Thursday, Dec. 8 in the Multipurpose Room in Barrington Student Union. Preview will be at 4 p.m. and the auction begins at 5 p.m. There will be snacks and cash bar available.
