SUNY Potsdam’s Law Enforcement Training Institute recognized the graduates of its Fall 2019 police academy with a ceremony on campus, held on Dec. 14. This semester, nine students graduated from the program as pre-employment cadets. They successfully completed Phase 1 of the New York State Municipal Basic Police Training, which includes 56 of the full 60 components, as part of their undergraduate curriculum. The Department of Computing and Technology Services is seeking a Technology Support Professional to offer Tier 1 technical support that assists administration, faculty, staff, and students with all manner of computing and peripheral support of college owned computers, including, but not limited to: hardware troubleshooting, software troubleshooting, replacement of defective equipment, new software installation, new hardware installation, Android, iPhone, iPad support, desktop network connectivity and software installation.

The State University of New York at Potsdam will soon launch a Certificate of Advanced Study program in college teaching, the College’s first program to be offered fully online. SUNY Potsdam’s new advanced certificate program is designed to provide participants with the skills they need for effective teaching in the college classroom.

A Far Cry’s latest album, “Visions and Variations,” was nominated for two awards in the 61st annual GRAMMYs, in the categories for best chamber music/small ensemble performance, and best engineered album, classical.
