LoKo Arts Festival This spring, the annual LoKo Arts Festival will take place April 26 - May 5. The 10-day celebration of the arts at SUNY Potsdam includes theatre, dance, vocal and instrumental performances; visual arts exhibitions; creative writing workshops and readings; and guest artist visits. 

Crane School of Music Faculty to Present Recital of Music Composed Entirely by Crane Professors and Students on February 26

Faculty from SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music will showcase clarinet works written by living composers with ties to The Crane School of Music. This concert will be held in Sara M. Snell Music Theater on Tuesday, February 26 at 7:30 p.m.

Two SUNY Potsdam Sophomores Advance to Regional Finals at The Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival in Cape Cod

SUNY Potsdam sophomores Christina Morris ’21 and Stefania Owusu ’21 were chosen, through a three-round audition process, to perform in the final round of the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship Auditions at the 51st Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF), held at Cape Cod Community College in Barnstable, Mass., from Jan. 29 to Feb. 2. Over 200 actors participated in the auditions throughout the festival, with only 16 pairs of actors advancing to the finals.

SUNY Potsdam Welcomes Back Alumna Dr. Maya Stone ’01 for a Special Performance at The Crane School of Music on Feb. 25

SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music is thrilled to welcome back Alumna Dr. Maya Stone ’01 for a special bassoon concert on Monday, Feb. 25 at 7:30 p.m. in Sara M. Snell Music Theater. Stone will be accompanied by Dr. Yoojung Kim on piano. Stone will present the premiere of Gregory Wanamaker’s new piece, “Echoes of Melancholy,” written in 2017 in memory of Ladislav Kubik. She will also perform Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Cello Suite No. 2 in D Minor, BWV 1008.”

Crane Symphony Orchestra Presents Two Beloved Works in First Concert of Semester

SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music invites the public to enjoy a performance by the Crane Symphony Orchestra on Thursday, March 5 at 7:30 p.m., in the Helen M. Hosmer Concert Hall. The performance will open with the “Rosamunde Overture” by Franz Schubert, and conclude with “Symphony No. 7” by Anton Bruckner. This concert is free, and the public is invited to attend.
