SUNY Potsdam Free Application Week
SUNY Potsdam Free Application Week: February 22 - March 2, 2025Submit your application from Saturday, February 22 to Sunday, March 2, 2025, and SUNY Potsdam will cover the $50 application fee.Application ProcessFirst-time freshmen and transfer students may complete either the SUNY Application or the Common Application. Both applications are viewed equally by the Admissions office. Please be sure to complete only one of the two applications.
Health Insurance Information
SUNY Potsdam highly recommends that all students have health insurance. There is currently no SUNY Potsdam Insurance Plan. Here are some health insurance options available to you:
Rules of Decorum
SUNY Potsdam Rules of Decorum for Student Conduct Hearings and Sex-Based Discrimination Grievance Procedures for Student to Student HearingsCampus hearings are not civil or criminal proceedings and are not designed to mimic formal trial proceedings. They are primarily educational in nature. Rules of decorum prohibit any party advisor or decision-maker from questioning witnesses in an abusive, intimidating, or disrespectful manner.

Applying for a Canadian Visitor Visa (TRV)
SUNY Potsdam's close proximity to Ottawa and Montreal make it an attractive destination for international students. Most students will need a Canadian Visitor Visa (TRV) in order to enter Canada. Please see the following application instructions.
English as a Second-Language Opportunities
The SUNY Potsdam Conversation Partners Program provides help for international students, or other non-native speakers of English, who need to continue to improve their English skills, which is the key to their success as students.
Alumni Association Scholarships
The SUNY Potsdam Alumni Association takes great pride in offering to the children, grandchildren and even parents of the College's alumni the opportunity to compete for a scholarship at SUNY Potsdam. The scholarship is valued at a minimum of $1,000 for one year. This is a one-time award for any student.
