Jeffrey Milroy

Alumnus Dr. Jeffrey Milroy ’02 has built his career around promoting physical activity and safety in collegiate sports. After being recruited from Canada to play hockey at SUNY Potsdam in 1999, he went on to graduate with a degree in community health—the stepping stone for a successful career in public health.

Kris McCarthy

Alumnus Kris McCarthy, who studied business administration at SUNY Potsdam, has always had a commitment to hockey and an entrepreneurial spirit. Now he is combining both with the launch of his new app, FanSaves.

Caring for Others

Always encouraged by her mother to help those in need, Kristy Coyle ’22 harnessed those values as she pursued a degree in community health at SUNY Potsdam. Her internships and faculty mentorship opportunities reinforced her educational experiences—as she looked ahead to a career focused on assisting the less fortunate and educating the community about health disparities.

After Potsdam: The Pathway Up

Amanda Moeller ’15 has leveraged a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from SUNY Potsdam to gain a master’s degree and a sought-after position with a multinational company. A member of several honors societies while at SUNY Potsdam, she is now the customer supply chain manager at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, where we caught up with her to chat about her undergraduate experiences.  

Cameron Hewes ’15

Amazon has nothing on Cameron Hewes ’15. The giant online retailer sells almost anything you can think of, but don’t expect to find specialized sheet music for the clarinet. For that, musicians can now turn to CAMco—the Crane School of Music alumnus’s new business that offers hundreds of options for purchasing sheet music composed specifically for the clarinet family of instruments.

Supporing the Path to Success

Anah Bogdan '24 is a recipient of various scholarships – the Vasily Cateforis Scholarship, Clarence F. Stevens Award, Dr. Jutta Siefert Dudley Scholarship, Charlie Smith Math Scholarship and Jessie J. McNall Scholarship. Additionally, Anah recently received the SUNY Potsdam Faculty Award, an honor presented to select students. As a multiple-scholarship recipient, Anah feels supported and motivated.
