Minor: Arts Management

The Arts Management Minor provides students with knowledge and skills supportive of career advancement in the arts. In addition to working as an artist, career possibilities include working in galleries, museums, for publishing companies, performing arts companies, film festivals, grant-supported arts councils, philanthropic foundations or the government.

B.S.: Biochemistry

The B.S. in Biochemistry at SUNY Potsdam integrates knowledge from areas of both chemistry and biology and is demanding in terms of core course requirements, since additional courses are also required in mathematics and physics.

B.A./B.S.: Biology

We offer two bachelor degree options (B.A. or B.S.), a minor, and a specialization. The department is dedicated to student learning by providing a broad exposure to a range of biological topics with a foundation in national and state science standards and opportunities for student research.

Minor: Biomedical Anthropology

Biomedical anthropology incorporates theory and practice from all areas of anthropology, particularly biological and cultural approaches to health and disease.

B.S.: Biomedical Sciences

The B.S. in Biomedical Sciences degree combines rigorous academic preparation for several post-graduate health career programs. Students can select courses from six different categories based on the health profession they wish to enter, preparing them for entrance exams such as the MCAT or DAT, while providing a solid knowledge foundation for their career of choice.

B.S.: Business Administration

The Business Administration Major provides future business professionals and community leaders with strong theoretical foundations and practical applications of the functional areas of business.

Minor: Chemistry

The chemistry minor represents a valuable complementary field of study especially for students majoring in biology, geology, criminal justice and physics, anthropology or experimental psychology.

B.A.: Chemistry

The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in chemistry is ideally suited for students interested in careers in biotechnology, analytical labs, chemical industry, pharmacy, patent law, forensic science, secondary science education and other fields of science.

MST: Childhood Education

The Master of Science for Teachers in Childhood Education program is 100% online and is recognized and accredited nationally by CAEP, the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (formerly NCATE, the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education).

B.A.: Childhood/Early Childhood Education

This B.A. in Childhood/Early Childhood Education is a combined major designed to allow students to earn an undergraduate degree leading to two initial NYS certifications; Birth to Grade 2 and Grades 1 to Grade 6.
